Toilet Repair
Running loo, cistern leak, weak flush. Fill valves and flush cartridges on the van, so it is usually one visit.
La Cala was a fishing village and is now the busiest town in the ring, around 4,000 residents and a lot more visitors. Two 16th-century watchtowers still stand along the coast, the Torre de Calahonda and the Calaburras tower at Punta Calaburras, built to warn of ships coming up the Mediterranean.
The old village core has narrow streets and older pipework, which is where most of our drain work here comes from. The newer build up the hill is different stock entirely, and the two need different approaches.
Blocked drains and toilets mostly. Older properties, narrow waste runs, and a lot of them.
Usually it is one visit and a sensible answer. The awkward ones are in the old village, where the pipework predates plastic and a pressure flush on a narrow galvanised run can do more harm than the blockage. Careful rodding takes longer and we will tell you why we are doing it that way.
Playa de La Cala, Torre de Calahonda, Calaburras Tower, La Cala market, El Torreón, Costa Water Park, La Cala Golf, the old village core.
La Cala is five kilometres and, on a good day, twelve minutes. On a bad August afternoon it is forty, and we will tell you which one you are getting.
La Cala was a fishing village. The streets behind the church are still narrow, the buildings are still old, and some of the pipework in them predates plastic. Narrow bore, shallow falls, and a habit of backing up that has nothing to do with what you put down the sink.
The newer development up the hill is completely different stock: larger bore, better falls, and mostly problems caused by limescale rather than layout.
We work in both, and we treat them differently. In the old town the answer is often careful rodding rather than pressure, because a pressure flush on a fifty-year-old galvanised run can do more damage than the blockage. Up the hill, pressure is usually fine.
Send it through with a photo of the pipe under the sink if you can. In the old village the bore tells us whether this is a rodding job or one that needs care, and we would rather know first.

What we do here
Running loo, cistern leak, weak flush. Fill valves and flush cartridges on the van, so it is usually one visit.
Pumps, thermostatic mixers, trays and full replacements. Hard water kills cartridges here faster than inland.
Blocked shower, kitchen sink, toilet or bath trap cleared properly. Then we test the flow before we leave, because a drain that runs slowly blocks again.
Burst pipes, leaks under pressure, no water. Send it through and we will ring you back, usually inside 15 minutes.
