Riviera del Sol sits on the coast road between Calahonda and La Cala, split into Riviera Alta and Riviera Baja. It is apartment and townhouse stock, and a large share of it is second homes and holiday lets rather than permanent residents.

What is different about working here

That changes what an emergency is. A blocked shower on a Tuesday in a permanent home is an inconvenience. The same blockage on a Friday in a rental is a disaster, because guests arrive on Saturday and there is no second bathroom. We get those calls, and we understand why they matter.

What we get called to

Blocked drains and emergency callouts are the bulk of what we do here. Showers and toilets second.

Most of it is a single visit. The awkward ones are the rental jobs where somebody has already had a go between guests: a trap cleared but not flushed, a leak sealed from the outside. You are on a changeover clock and we work to it, but we will tell you if the honest fix is bigger than the window.

Riviera is four minutes down the coast road. The only thing that slows us is August traffic, and we will say so when we ring back rather than after you have waited.

The Friday problem

A large share of Riviera del Sol is holiday let. Which means a blocked shower is not the same emergency on a Tuesday as it is on a Friday afternoon, with guests arriving Saturday and one bathroom in the apartment.

We know that rhythm. Tell us the check-in date in the first line and we will treat it as a deadline rather than a job. If we cannot get there in time we will say so immediately, so you can call someone else rather than lose the booking.

The other thing about rental stock: the same faults come back every season, because the same person is not looking after the place. A running cistern in July is a running cistern again in August. If you manage several flats here, tell us which ones you look after and we will keep a note of what has been done in each.
